Historical Debates
In this assignment my history teacher asked us to write a paper on any historical debate or topic that we wanted. I chose to debate on wether there was slavery in Africa before the atlantic slave trade. I chose this topic because it is a question a lot of African Americans fail to know the answer to or think they know based on what they were taught in High School. In writing this paper I hoped to open my readers minds into the history of not only slavery but Africans in general because we tend to accept what is being taught to us and not go out and do our own research.
In the draft you will see a lot of grammar mistakes, bad transitioning, and poor word choice. In the final I tried to correct as many of those as possible.
